A standalone fire pit is a more compact, dedicated heat source that works well as a focal point without taking up table space. Both styles run on propane, so setup is straightforward with a standard tank.
Most propane fire pits in our collection connect directly to a standard 20 lb propane tank using a regulator and hose that come included — no specialized installation required. You simply connect the hose, open the valve, and ignite using the electronic ignition or manual lighter. Always follow the included instructions and check local codes if you plan to run a permanent gas line.
Propane fire pits can be used under covered structures when there is adequate ventilation and the clearance heights recommended by the manufacturer are observed. We recommend reviewing the clearance guidelines in the product manual before placing any open-flame fixture beneath a pergola, gazebo, or covered patio. When in doubt, leave extra overhead clearance and keep combustible materials away from the burn area.
